Cesar Paradiso was influenced by his technical designer father and encouraged by his mother, a teacher. By the age of seven, he was already drawing, photographing, painting and sculpting. As a young man he got his first tattoo despite his family’s disapproval. After the premature death of his parents, Cesar expressed his grief with two black bands around his leg – and many more tattoos would follow. A studio soon recognised his artistic talent and passion, offering him an apprenticeship and later an artist’s residency.
Cesar draws his influences from traditional and contemporary fine arts as well as notable graffiti and street art artists, and is inspired by the work of Mário Duarte and Marone. Cesars blends styles as diverse as realism, old school, oriental, floral, micro realism and fine line. He prefers to work with black ink, create contrasting or dotted shadows.
Outside of work, Cesar enjoys music, skateboarding, street wear and studying human behaviour.
